Wednesday: Attended a talk on journalism. Viable alternative career. The speaker was obviously.. A journalist(yay!you guessed it..so smart) from the Newpaper. Ya, you guys must be thinking.. huh?so trashy.. But..it was a real surprise! He was uber entertaining and well-spoken. Eh,people hafta be smart to twist news so it seems gossipy too,k.
His name: James Duffy?.. Ever wondered what the best job in the world is?..the answer was revealed in the talk!.. Being an editor of a wedding magazine. He was one for 4 years..and spent every weekend in the Carribean staying at newly built resorts so he could write about em'. Imagine being PAID to enjoy life. shiok!.. His delivery was uberuber hilarious..haha. Talked about experiences in his career: 1. poking at a shark at the Carribean (his actions were so funny!) 2. trying to comprehend what sportsmen were talking about.. eg. Ya,i felt um...h.h.aaa.pyy(sulky face) after i scored the *mumblemumble*goal. 3. hanging out with models in Italy for a week, because he hadda do a story on the runway.
These make me rethink my career options. However, i still think studying business is a good choice. Its very wide. And anyway, did you know that no matter what course you're in.. you can still become a journalist? As long as you love writing and you're inquisitive.. (according to him)
Requirements: 3bs in A levels and 4 and above in GP (wow.so easy.not.)
I'm MC-ing for Risen: the Easter musical in church.. together with Don. Hope I don't screw up!!.. The pictures on Weiwen's blog are hilarious!.haha.esp.the fat guy in the glass.
Waited for the softballers to go for dinner. They won their match!..woot~ But apparently they weren't really ecstatic about the way they played. The JJC pitcher didn't know how to pitch! (then why's he called a pitcher.. beats me?) he basically just threw the ball softly, so our softballers could 'bun' the ball..and chiong to first base easily. I pity that poor guy.. his whole team's probably going like. sighh.. And VJ's softball coach is SO fierce!..Jon played extremely well. And he was PUMPED up. going like 'c'mon!' so loudly. Haha. But well done guys! i feel so comfortable hanging out with em'.. One big family:D
